Adire is a traditional Yoruba textile art form. I got this Adire from Marion Steiner. She got it from Talabi Adedoyin Faniyi.
This textile came with the name 'Sliding' written on a Post-it. I took it as motto when I made the dress and I aimed at keeping the textile as whole as possible and give it the possibility to slide. I only cut out the hole for the head. It is made by hand and put together by sewing points rather than lines.
